Oil power transformer 13MVA
Trafo Elettro has recently supplied an oil power transformer 13MVA to the hydropower plant Vilar do Monte. It is located in northern Portugal, on the Vouga River. It consists of a 14.8m high dam, a power house equipped two horizontal Francis turbines, a 2970m long tunnel, all designed to minimize visual impact. The plant will supply 11.000 households, with clean energy with a saving of approx. 9.000 tons of CO2 every year.
